Every night before bed for a year I watched military history documentaries to fall asleep. Episode 3 of Oliver Stone's "The Untold History of the United States" focuses on WWII terror bombing and the dropping of the atom bomb on Japan. I could not shake the language and the images from my mind... This song started with the sound of a taiko drum -- a resounding representation of our military industrial complex. "Demon LeMay" was born of my obsession with our society's obsession with destruction.
